Q: how to mark "done" or archive cards w/o deleting them?

I have a "done" board but I'd prefer to have a done or archive option so I can save the cards somewhere but I don't have to look at them forever. Having a list of hundreds of "done" items seems ridiculous.

Q: Board Assigning

I am enjoying tier 2 but there is something very important missing in kan. There is no option to assign boards to specific people so they cannot access other boards. Is there any plan to add this feature in kan?

Q: MCP & Tiers?

I see the MCP server on your roadmap for Q3. Wanted to know if that would be included for all tiers when shipped?

Q: How to restrict content + GDPR comliance

Hi
I'm evaluating kan.bn for managing multiple clients simultaneously.

My question is: Does each client require their own separate workspace or is it possible to have multiple clients within the same workspace while ensuring they cannot access each other's boards or data? Or does it require a workspace per client?

And the boring question: How about GDPR compliance?

Thanks!

A: Hi Henrik,

Good questions!

On managing multiple clients, you would currently need one workspace per client. We do have board-level member invitations on the roadmap though, which would allow you to invite users only to the boards you want them to see within a single workspace. You can follow progress here: https://kan.bn/kan/roadmap/hq02f64vibvu

On GDPR, yes, Kan is GDPR compliant. All data...

Q: Appsumo deal for cloud version?

Am I correct in understanding that the Appsumo deal is for the cloud version and that if I want to host it myself on my own server, Kan is free with all features anyway?

A: Hey Hajo,

That's right - the AppSumo deal is for the cloud version. If you self-host, Kan is free and open source with no restrictions on the current feature set, though some future features may be released under a commercial license.

With the cloud version, all hosting, updates, and maintenance are taken care of for you!
