A: Hi! Thanks so much for the thoughtful questions... and really appreciate the feedback. This is actually an area we’ve been hearing more about from users building paid courses, memberships, and communities.

Today, Surfn doesn’t yet have the full set of per-member controls you described. Usage is currently shared at the workspace level, and while you can set rate limits to help prevent excessive usage, we don’t yet offer individual member quotas, per-member usage tracking, automatic access expiration, or end-user purchases of additional AI usage.

Based on feedback from users like you, we’re planning a members-only update in the near future to make Surfn much better suited for paid memberships, courses, and gated communities. We haven’t announced a release date yet, so I don’t want to promise a specific timeline, but this is something we’re actively planning.

In the meantime, if you’d like to charge members for access through your existing course or membership platform, you can share your Surfn agent’s vanity URL (for example, surfn.ai/@yourname) only with paying members. You can also periodically change the vanity URL and share the updated link only with active members. It’s not the same as the more advanced member-level access controls you described, but it can work well as a temporary solution.
