VoiceDash has received praise for its accurate transcription, seamless integration across devices, and multi-language support. While there have been occasional stability issues and minor formatting discrepancies, the overall consensus is that VoiceDash is a solid choice for efficient AI voice dictation. With a 60-day money-back guarantee, it's worth giving VoiceDash a try.

Slow development, zero communication, outdated roadmap, and early buyers left behind
I purchased this lifetime deal as an early supporter, but my confidence in the product has steadily declined, largely due to a complete lack of communication from the team.
For months at a time there are no updates via email, Discord, or any other channel. The roadmap and changelog are also consistently out of date, leaving customers with no visibility into whether development is progressing, what is being prioritized, or what to expect next. That level of silence is difficult to justify for a product that relies on long-term user trust.
I was also disappointed by how new features have been handled across tiers. At the time of purchase, the tiers were differentiated primarily by usage limits, not by functionality. API access was introduced later and restricted to the highest tier only. Looking back, creating that kind of feature gap feels unfair to the early adopters who backed the product first, and it is unfortunately a practice the LTD community is all too familiar with.
Finally, I have concerns about the product direction itself. Nearly a year ago I suggested a basic but essential feature for the mobile app: the ability to just dictate something and simply save it for later, with no intention of being sent or published immediately. For a dictation tool, this feature is a fundamental use case, yet it remains unimplemented and has received no meaningful follow-up.
Taken together, this evidence suggests a team that is not listening closely to its users and does not have a clear plan for where the product is going. Until that changes, with regular communication, an up-to-date roadmap, and fair treatment of early buyers, I cannot recommend this deal.

Edited Oct 7, 2026Hi @ExperEnough,
Thank you for writing this. You're right that this page went quiet between June and September. However, we were emailing release notes. From today, every release is posted here too on AppSumo page.
About the pace of development: We haven't been standing still tbh. Since March we've shipped 10 releases, all public at:

Use it daily
This product is my go-to for typing replacement. I use AI a lot and using audio in AI burns out tokens super fast. With this I save on tokens and never type. It’s so easy to use and now that Meetings has been added, it’s like a dream. I love this and will continue using it by the hour in my work day.

I've been using it for a couple of months - 5 Tacos
I've been using this for a couple of months now. I use it every day and save a TON of time. It cleans up my ums and run on sentences. I rarely experience a glitch and if I do, it's a simple click on the "retry" button. 5 tacos!

Really good but privacy concerns
I really like VoiceDash and was impressed with how well the dictation works. Unfortunately, I have stopped using it because of a serious privacy concern.
My microphone appears to remain active even when I am not dictating. I understand VoiceDash has stated that it is not continuously recording and that keeping the microphone active is necessary for quick access, but from a user's perspective, I have no way of verifying what is or isn't being captured.
I use my computer for business every day and have private conversations around it. I'm simply not comfortable seeing my microphone active all the time and having to trust that nothing is being recorded or processed.
Unfortunately, this has made me stop using VoiceDash, so at this point I feel that I've lost my investment in the lifetime deal, despite really liking the product itself.
I hope the VoiceDash team takes this concern seriously and develops a solution where the microphone is only activated when the user actually triggers dictation, and is completely released immediately afterward. If that is fixed, I would gladly start using VoiceDash again.
Great product, but for me, privacy and having control over my microphone have to come first.

Worked just 50% of the time on mobile, vs like 95% for WisprFlow
Nothing is more frustrating than having to re-record, and re-record, and re-record. You end up just thumb-typing in frustration. Probably switching back to Wisper Flow
