During editing there's the possibility to apply a transparent background - but the export removes it fully. Is there a plan to ADD the feature of exporting with a transparent background?
Also, are there plans to improve the export quality to 2k - 4k?

You're not doing anything wrong. I recently removed the sentence and phrase subtitle types because they weren't rendering reliably. If you want to remove the highlight effect, just change the highlight color so it's the same as the font color.
Hey! Just so you know, I've added a new "Regenerate Subtitles" button in the transcript editor. Clicking on this will let you regenerate the phrase listing. I've added a new option called "Whole sentences". This should not split up any sentences unless they go for longer than 15 seconds.

Music can be hard to transcribe due to the background noise in the audio, but we have a couple of options.
In beat mode, you can copy and paste your lyrics and it will align them with the lyrics in the tune, you can transcribe them (not as accurate) or you can manually edit Word timings.

Q: Preview feature for custom templates
Hi,
Does this version include a preview feature for custom templates that doesn't consume the minutes quota?
In previous versions, this wasn't possible, and testing the rendering systematically used up our quota.
If this hasn't been updated yet, do you have a timeline for when a 'free' preview mode will be implemented
