Apr 25, 2026A: Hi Phil,
1) EU VAT (OSS)
Yes. Zylvie supports automatic VAT/GST/sales-tax calculation by customer location through Stripe Tax (including EU country VAT handling when your Stripe tax registrations are configured).
For OSS filing, Zylvie provides transaction-level tax data exports to support your reporting workflow. (Dedicated in-app “one-click OSS quarterly return” filing is not currently included.)
2) B2B reverse charge
VAT ID capture: Yes — you can collect VAT ID at checkout using Custom Fields.
Automatic VIES validation and automatic reverse-charge decisioning are not currently native end-to-end features, so reverse-charge handling may require your own workflow/rules.
3) French invoices
Zylvie generates downloadable PDF invoices and lets you customize invoice business details and footer text.
If you need strict France-specific invoicing compliance checks, 10-year statutory archiving workflows, or bulk invoice file export, those are best handled with your accounting stack/process on top of Zylvie exports.
4) Non-EU (UK / US / others)
Yes — tax collection supports non-EU jurisdictions via Stripe Tax configuration (including UK/US scenarios where registered).
If no tax applies, checkout/invoice behavior follows your configured tax setup and Stripe tax determination.
5) Currency
Zylvie supports EUR and multi-currency product/checkout flows.
FX conversion behavior and conversion fees are handled by payment processors (e.g., Stripe/PayPal), based on their rules and your account setup.
6) Emails
You can send transactional emails through your own domain using supported integrations (e.g., SendGrid/Emailit), depending on plan/features enabled.
Email content is customizable in multiple places (including key customer-facing transactional content/templates).
7) Affiliates
Zylvie includes full affiliate features (invites, tracking, commissions, payouts).
Tax treatment of affiliate commissions (including EU VAT where applicable) should be handled through your accounting/tax process; dedicated affiliate VAT automation/reporting is not the core built-in model.
8) Export / lock-in
You can export core transaction data (including tax-related fields) for external reporting/accounting.
This gives you practical portability and helps avoid operational lock-in.
9) GDPR
Zylvie includes GDPR-oriented controls (including GDPR messaging/consent-oriented storefront controls) and privacy/legal documentation.
Data is hosted/processed in the US per current legal terms. If you require a formal DPA for enterprise procurement, that should be handled contractually with Zylvie.
With thanks,
Jay
