Promising at first but then disappointing after a couple of days
Pro's
- great UI
- easy to use
-did a great job pulling GBP profiles
Cons
- Email verification - you need to "upgrade" which was never mentioned before signing up
- Very restrictive, after 3 searches, you have to wait 15 hours before you can search again
- Founder will tell you to add your own GBP API, for someone who isn't technical, that is a rabbit hole. I went into Google Cloud, and tried to get this information, only to get even more confused.

First, regarding email verification:
This is a newly released feature that was not originally listed on the deal page. We’re currently working with the AppSumo team to update the listing so expectations are fully clear.
Second, about the search limits:
SmatLeads isn’t meant to be restrictive. After launch, we experienced heavy abuse of our default Google Maps API, which affected platform stability. The temporary limit applies only when using our shared API to keep the system reliable for all users. Once you add your own Google Maps API key, the restriction is removed.
Lastly, the Google Maps API setup:
We understand this can feel technical at first. We’ve added a step-by-step tutorial inside the SmatLeads Academy, and we also offer onboarding calls where our team will personally guide you through the setup.
