Q: AI stuff

Hi there, we are a marketing agency and some of our clients are very interested in the AI mentions services/tools, which for example semrush is also offering with their "AI Visibility" Toolkit. I've noticed that you have some AI features but to me they aren't very deep yet. Is something like this planned? Thanks

A: Hi there, that's a very good question.

My honest take: currently, it's not possible to give you a clear picture of your visibility in AI. AI results are conversational and extremely personalized. Any tool that sells you AI tracking data is selling you BS.

I'm not the only one saying this: Rand Fishin said so too: https://sparktoro.com/blog/new-research-ais-are-highly-inconsistent-when-recommending-brands-or-products-marketers-should-take-care-when-tracking-ai-visibility/

Some GEO / AEO tools are shutting down because they see there's no real difference between SEO and GEO (https://searchengineland.com/geo-startup-lorelight-shuts-down-464208)

Sure, we want to show you what your visibility is in AI. The truth is, there's just no reliable (Google Search Console for AI-like) way to do that at the moment.

We've added the one reliable way we see for tracking AI traffic: referrals in Google Analytics from AI tools. This helps you understand how much traffic you're getting, and what content gets mentioned: https://www.siteguru.co/features/ai-report

Some more sources:

Side note: most GEO tools are quite pricey, because they need to run a lot of API calls to AI tools. Because of that, don't expect any AI tracking tool to offer an LTD.
