This is hands-down the best tool I've used for video scripts and social carousels. I'd had it on my radar for a while — a lot of the bigger creators I follow have been on Poppy for years. The second I saw it on AppSumo, I grabbed it. I've since upgraded to Tier 4 so my wife can use it too.

The scripts are excellent. The carousels are 10x better than anything I'd make myself — and they'd take me hours to build. No complaints on quality.

But the credit consumption is way, way off.

In the onboarding workflow, I told it what I wanted to create, pasted a channel URL for style, and described what I offer. Then I generated 2 short video scripts and 4 LinkedIn carousels. No videos to analyze. No long notes to digest. Nothing heavy.

That cost 488 credits.

For context: the demo video from the Poppy team showed someone analyze 10 YouTube videos and produce 5 scripts — for about 30 credits. I analyzed zero videos, made fewer assets, and burned nearly 500. I'm positive I'm the one that's missing something here so hopefully they can help me figure it out.

At that rate, Tier 4's 3,000 credits gets me ~6 scripts and ~12 carousels a month. That can't be right.

I've reached out to support twice, but the AI chat couldn't explain it — and I didn't want to sit waiting on a chat, so I let it go. I'd really like a straight answer on what's going on here.

Everything else is fantastic. But if this is the actual rate and not a bug, anything below Tier 4 is unusable — and even Tier 4 runs tight.

This product and team are fantastic. Before this, I used ChatGPT and Claude to write scripts and would batch my content monthly. During the onboarding call, I realized I could grow much faster by using Poppy to focus on my channel’s latest outliers twice a week and by trying out trial reels. What would have taken me almost a year to achieve can now be done in just a month and a half. The onboarding call was excellent.

I understand the hesitation of spending over $1,200 and wondering, "What the heck is this supposed to do? Why not just use Remalty on Appsumo for $99, Boardmix, Vibecode, or even something open-source from GitHub on Docker?" But after the onboarding call, those doubts disappear, and you feel much more confident in your decision. The community is also top-notch. I recently heard they’re working on funnels with unlimited CDN bandwidth, which are only available on t4 and above. If I’m wrong, please let me know. With BYOK, this adds even more value to the visual boarding. Even though this is the most expensive Lifetime Deal I’ve ever bought, I truly believe in this product and now understand the passion behind it.

Do I wish BYOK and API access were available to lower tiers? Absolutely, especially since AppSumo has very international buyers, many from developing nations where their currency is a fraction of the US dollar, & can’t afford anything above t1 & otherwise couldn't be poppy customers. Buying t4 was a big stretch for me & it stings. I really want API access so Poppy can connect with all my apps, especially once the funnel builder is released. t5 is $2+k. THats a used car pre-2020. But that’s life. They’re a $3 million ARR startup based in San Francisco. Sometimes the best products don’t have the lowest price, but Poppy makes up for it with great value.

Just got done with the onboarding call with Athena. Um, I'd already played with this product a little bit, but I'm telling you, uh, this is one of the best investments I've made in my business all year. Uh, I manage, uh, social media for clients, and talk about a one-stop shop to just get endless ideas and organize them in a way that makes sense to you. Cannot recommend Poppy enough. This is a great product.

I've heard about Poppy first time few months ago on IG from a blogger, but when I checked the monthly pricing - I've got discouraged, as I wasn't even sure that I will be using it. However when this week another blogger shared here scripts and schedule explaining that it was done in Poppy - I realized what I was missing, so I wanted to purchase it right away, but I couldn't choose the Tier. So, I decided to ask Claude and he give me more info and he shared few YT videos where I found out about App Sumo deal. I purchased the package and i loved it from the first minute. It is so friendly, intuitive and fun even to interact. It is fantastic! So focused, right to the point, no need to explain tons of prompts. As soon as it gave me idea - i was able to record my first video. This is such a relief, in moving from point A - 'I have no idea what to do', to point B - 'I can't wait to post all these reels'. This app literally made my life much easier just in 5 minutes. I am pretty sure I didn't learn even 5% of it's capacity as it was teaching me with new things, and it feels like you have access to Film Director from Hollywood with whole crew who are doing your project for you. It is just incredible! I feel so grateful to its creators for building it and sharing it with the World.
