Tool for Self‑Reflection and Skill Improvement

Nonverbia impressed me right from the start. I tested the call analysis in its default mode, without any setup, and it already surfaced insights I didn’t expect. I’m excited to refine my projects, add custom keywords, and explore its full potential.

Since emotion‑recognition AI is still a grey legal area in the EU, I’m using it strictly for my own self‑improvement—mainly to review videos where only I appear, or sometimes where I’m practicing with a training partner. In that context, Nonverbia works very well as a tool for personal reflection and communication training.

Hi gwittke,

Thank you! As an EU-based team ourselves, we really appreciate that you're thinking carefully about how to use it, self-reflection and training partner practice are exactly the use cases where Nonverbia shines.

Excited for you to dig into custom keywords and projects. Reach out anytime if you want to share what's working.

Product is really good, with some friction points

Really happy with the results that Nonverbia gave me when testing the product. It was able to give feedback on what I was doing, and also made some cute avatars of both the speakers.

Here are some of the cons, as most of the reviews are 5 tacos:
1) UX is non-intuitive, a lot of clicking around to find what you want: how to add people.
2) I was unable to figure out how to change the name of the robot to something like Squirtle's Notetaker
3) It's a bot/notetaker that you have to physically invite to the meeting, unless you take a video recording to then upload.

It's realistically a good product, but the UX is not yet polished to the point where I would feel open to sending this to non-technical members of the team.

Hi Squirtle,

Thanks for the honest review, critical feedback is the most useful kind. Going point by point:

1) Fair. The UX isn't where it should be yet, especially around adding people. We're actively reworking it.

2) Bot customization, including renaming Stella to something like "Squirtle's Notetaker," is available as a paid add-on, happy to point you to it.

3) Calendar connection is already...

Awesome Tool!

I tested Nonverbia's call analysis without any pre-programming (running on default mode), and it gave me a lot of interesting insights. I can't wait to tailor my platform, add the key words, and customize projects.

There is unlimited potential for the tool's utility in sales conversations, but also for things like coaching or hiring. Being able to see a quantitative breakdown of the non-verbal cues, a full list of questions asked by each participant, the call topics, etc., and then to see the Nonverbia scoring and coaching notes is a game-changer! If programmed for specific calls and business goals, this is a powerhouse of data!

It's often difficult to pay attention to all the non-verbals during Zoom meetings, and this app provides useful tracking data, sentiment analysis, and improvement feedback. I also LOVE the way the call transcript is broken down by speaker with animation and speaker avatars. I saved my avatar image because I loved it so much.

Nonverbia also highlights the action items discussed, and adds an additional layer of "priority" categorization that Zoom doesn't currently offer.

I will continue to use Nonverbia with client coaching calls and other business discovery and consulting calls.

I would LOVE to see deception detection added in the future. It would also be great to see differentiated breakdowns of "convincing" versus "conveying" statements and behaviors, and have them weighted against available models.

I would also like to see a definition of "smiling" and how it's used in the data analysis.

Smiling can be a cue of agreement or engagement, but it can also indicate diminished "speaker" status. According to neuro-cognitive intelligence, smiling before feeling something, or as part of scanning for approval, communicates that the "speaker" needs something from the interaction, which immediately lowers their social status or categorization. I'd like clarity on how Nonverbia defines the smiling cue and uses it in the analysis. For example, someone may not want to smile in specific contexts in which it lowers their authority status. However, they may want to track that cue for themselves (to stop the behavior) and their audience (to track when the audience has accepted a lower status).

Overall, Nonverbia is unique and powerful tool for improving communication via Zoom (or other virtual meeting platform) calls. I think adding some clarity on the models and term definitions would go far, and layering in deeper behavioral analysis with deception detection models would make this a tool that large firms would pay a premium for.

As a founder, I appreciate its utility and pricing accessibility. I will for sure be continuing to use the platform moving forward, and recommending it to colleagues.

Overall Rating: 5/5 for me - worth every penny regardless of which tier you buy.

Grab it before the offer is gone!!!!

Hi Sandra,
thank you for such a detailed review! Your smiling-cue point is a great one, we'll work on publishing clearer definitions of how each non-verbal is detected and weighted.

Deception detection and a convincing-vs-conveying breakdown are both ideas we're exploring.

Really glad it's working for you, and thanks for being willing to recommend us.

Best,
David

Pretty neat

I have not used it much, but Nonverbia is pretty cool. I ran some old promotional videos through it to test it and it gave me great feedback on it and good tips how to improve. This can help me as a podcaster too to see if I am talking too much when I have guests on and get some feedback into that. It is not really meant for that, but it can be used for different purposes. I am a coach and have a client meeting next week so I am excited to try that.

Anyway, my only real complaint is that you only can use Google and Outlook for calendars. I despise Google and Microsoft.

I would give this a try if I were you. It is good to have insight into talking with people and I think it is going to get exponentially better as time goes on.

Hi Scooterwilliams,

Thanks for the honest review! Love that you're stretching it beyond sales, podcasting and coaching are great use cases, and the talk-ratio insights translate really well there. Fair point on the calendar integrations too, that's on our radar.

Hope the client meeting next week goes great, would love to hear how it lands.

Best,
DAvid

Got it for my sales team and the insights are worth every penny spent !!

This deal should be a no brainer for anyone in sales closing deals via teams, google meet or zoom. The bot literally records your calls inspite of not having a paid version of the google enterprise suit, it gives you a transcript and the best part it assists you with feedback on how you could make the call better.. it’s given my team a real sense of what questions they could have asked on the live call and what action items need to be sent post their call. From a managers pov it helps me a lot because I can create trainings now based on the feedback given by the bot which is only helping me take my team in the right direction. Extremely happy with the purchase and genuinely a very good product.

Hi marquis,
Really appreciate the detailed review! The manager-side use case, building trainings off the bot's feedback is exactly the loop we hoped people would discover.

Glad it's clicking for your team. Reach out anytime on [email protected] if you hit something we could do better.

Best,
DAvid
