Keyshift AI Reviews

I’ve been using Keyshift AI for a few months now, and it has quickly integrated into my daily text editing routine.

What I love most:
- Instant In-App Rewriting: Being able to trigger AI directly where I’m typing without constant copy-pasting or tab-switching is a game changer.
- Efficiency Boost: It has noticeably sped up my workflow when rewriting paragraphs, tweaking tone, and polishing rough drafts.
- Overall Productivity: It’s lightweight, fast, and stays out of the way until you need it.

Who is this for?
If you write emails, documents, or content daily and want to cut down on repetitive tasks, Keyshift AI is a solid addition to your productivity stack.

Overall, a very valuable tool that does exactly what it promises. Highly recommended!

KeyShift combines several powerful features that would otherwise require multiple utilities on Mac. I’m simplifying its capabilities, but I mainly use it to manipulate selected text: rewrite, translate, or apply AI transforms, dictate text, and process embedded commands (my favorite is /calc).

What keeps me using KeyShift over other tools is its BYOK (bring-your-own-key) support, which lets users process data locally for better privacy. It’s also actively developed and now offers a clean, Spotlight-like interface.

When I contacted the founder about minor issues with a macOS public beta, he was persistent in resolving them, showing real dedication.

I highly recommend this powerful, constantly improving tool.

The simplest and the shortest testimonial would be "Three keyboard keys and the job gets done", because it is really how Keyshift works. I just LOVE this app! It works quickly, quietly, in the background, and never leaves me alone. It is always within one click, I set up my own keyboard shortcuts, and I can confidently say that Keyshift relieves me of all those tedious small tasks that used to take up a lot of my time. I have a poor memory and initially had to write down my shortcuts, but then I discovered that I can simply call up the list of functions and select a task from the list — so in total, I only need to remember two shortcuts: my main one and the one for the list. I am in heaven! I also wrote this review in Polish, highlighted the text, pressed ctrl+shift+T, and voila – now you’re reading it in English :) I am delighted already and I didn't even try Workflows yet :) I can only imagine what they can do (dreamy face)

Keyshift AI is the kind of tool that makes you wonder how you ever got by without it. Tier1 offers massive value and Tier2 and up are great for the integrated AI workflows and for power users! No second-guessing:

FIVE TACOS

- Tip: If you want to run it on your 16gb+ Silicon Mac with Ollama, try ministral-3:8b-instruct-q4
- Also there is a version for Win10 and up and keyshift also works on one of my older macs, an Intel Macmini with Macos15 using cloud models. (@Endri, please do not abandon the MAC INTEL version!)

The idea of this software is brilliant, it is really helping me a lot with all those repetitive processes where I had to constantly copy/paste between one application to another. I have increased my productivity thanks to Keyshift and I no longer waste time on corrections, translations, or summaries across various AIs. The programmability of the app is excellent; you can truly achieve amazing results with customized prompts, and the interface as well as the interaction modes are really suitable for everyone. Shortcuts and Workflows are my favorites. BYOK is a great plus! There is undoubtedly a minimal learning curve, but once you master the program, you discover its full potential. That said, the best aspect is the developer Endri, a helpful and receptive person, open to criticism and improvements. The impression is that it is becoming an increasingly refined product, and behind it is someone who really knows how to do their job well and turns every criticism into an opportunity for improvement. Thanks Endri, well done!
